The Native - Flaws

  1. I love the relaxed feel of the video; there is a nice variation of shots and the pace of the editing mirrors the pace of the song. The artist's natural look reflects the folky style of the music, and the lip-syncing/guitar playing is accurate and looks professional. The location is also perfect and makes the performance look natural and effortless. Really great video!

  2. The singular location works really well for the laid-back feel of the video. The artist's work so well for the video, both in looks and the singing. The location for the video is lovely, and the natural lighting works well for the video.
You've managed to keep to the rhythm of the music throughout the slow pace of shots- and this works really well, as the slow changing of shots keeps the viewer interested. Alongside this, the several closeups of the artist's are interesting and work effectively.

  3. The quality of the shots are of a high standard and this is particularly evident in the close up shots, which look really effective. These shots reflect the pace of the music as some are held for a longer duration of time and therefore creates a connection between the song and the video. The appearance of both of the artists suit the genre really well, especially the male - the relaxed location lit up naturally by the daylight also reflects this. The repetition of the eye close up's also create a motif that the audience can recognise the video by. Well done!
